Design Lab is a hands-on, open-format class designed to help makers turn ideas, sketches, and digital assets into files that successfully produce real-world objects. Instead of focusing on specific software, this class teaches foundational file-prep concepts—scale, units, raster vs vector, layers, and non-destructive workflows—that translate across many tools and machines.
Participants can bring any project they’re working on (3D printing, laser, CNC, Wazer, or general fabrication). Each session begins with a short lesson, followed by guided work time where files are prepared, tested on machines, adjusted, and improved. This is a practical, confidence-building class focused on helping you understand how to do what you want to make.
This is not a class that teaches how to use the machines, you must take those workshops on your own. No prior experience required. All skill levels welcome.
