Make A Cutting Board (Woodshop)

This is a 3 part class.  During the first session (Saturday Jan 17^th), we’ll discuss different wood types and costs, then, put together a group order for hardwood from Intermountain Wood Products in Grand Junction.  The wood will be delivered the following Thursday.  During the 2^nd session (Thursday, Jan 22^nd) we will mill the rough pieces using the miter saw, jointer, planer and table saw, then assemble, glue and clamp the strips.  The 3^rd and final session (Friday Jan 23^rd) will involve cleaning up the surfaces and machining the edges, using the drum sander, table saw, and router table.  A discussion of various finishing options will also be included.  The cost for the class will be the cost of the individual materials ordered.  The class "Introduction to Wood Shop" is a prerequisite for this class.
