Tyvek, as in the house wrap, is a cheap, strong, light and waterproof material. It can be used to make outdoor gear, and is gaining popularity as an ultralight material.

We will make roll top stuff sack/dry bags using basic sewing machines. The class goal is for you to leave with a completed bag, and the knowledge to make simple custom bags to fit your own gear. We'll discuss basics of using Tyvek, and other materials that can be used in a similar way.

Intro to Textiles is a prerequisite - contact @Leah Roy-Ehri for any questions.
