Introduction to leather work
Calling all cowboys, cowgirls, makers, inventors, tinkerers, and crafters! It’s time to expand your skills and learn how to work with leather! Our introduction to leatherwork is perfect for anyone who would like to know more about leather working. You will be supplied with all the raw materials, tools and guided through the process of making a custom leather koozie.
This class will give you the basic knowledge, and some hands on experience you will need to start working with leather.
We will cover:
– Uses for leather
– Types of leather
– Sourcing leather and tools
– How to use basic tools
– Care and finishing of leather products
By the end of this class you will have completed a small project and will have all the basic knowledge you will need to start working with leather.
Please sign up at least 36 hours in advance to secure your place in the class. Call the MakerLab 970-259-9234 (ext 105) if you are signing up within 36 hours of the class. We can not accept any walk ins, You must be registered for the class isn advance in order to take the class.
If a cancellation is received at least 3 full days before an event / class begins, a refund will be issued for the tuition amount minus a 15% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than 3 full days before the first day will not be refunded. Full fees will be refunded if the MakerLab cancels an event / class . We will notify participants the day of if an event / class does not fill.
