Introduction to CNC Routing:
Have you ever wanted to cut something out with pin point accuracy? Perhaps do you have a project that would look so sweet if you had a CNC Router. Or maybe you just want to learn how to operate a CNC machine!
Our introduction to CNC routing is perfect for anyone who want to lean how to use our 3HP CNC router. The Class will focus on:
- How to import a file (.mmg). We encourage members to use Vcarve Pro, ask if you were not given a client license.
- How to safety operate the machine.
- How, when and why to safety change cutting tools
We strongly recommend students explore VCarve Pro before taking the class. Here is a link to download the program.
Our CNC router has a 36″ x 24″ cutting area, and a 3HP water cooled spindle…All members are required to take this class before operating the machine. You will be given a cutting bit during the class to keep. Email us if you want more cutting bits.
Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance to secure your place in the class. Call the MakerLab 970-259-9234 (ext 105) if you are signing up within 24 hours of the class. We can not accept any walk ins, You must be registered for the class isn advance in order to take the class.
If a cancellation is received at least 3 full days before an event / class begins, a refund will be issued for the tuition amount minus a 15% administration fee. Cancellations received fewer than 3 full days before the first day will not be refunded. Full fees will be refunded if the MakerLab cancels an event / class . We will notify participants the day of if an event / class does not fill.
