Cocktail Robotics!? W/ Ryan Finnigan
Nature made Man, Man made Machine, Machine made Cocktails for Man, Man was happy.
Join us starting October 25th for this project-based multi-session course we’ll be building a Cocktail Robot together, that will head overseas to beautiful Vienna, Austria for the 2oth Anniversary of the worlds premier cocktail robotics festival, Roboexotica. Our collective invention will compete on the world stage for one of the coveted ACRA awards (Annual Cocktail Robotics Award).
Get your inventors hat on, and prepare to do some taste testing!
This class will be taught by our MakerLab Director and Cocktail Robotics extraordinaire, Ryan Finnigan. Ryan is an inventor, metal artist, and roboticist. He has participated in 3 of the Roboexotica events in Vienna (2010, 2013, and 2o14), and won two of the main ACRA awards for Drink Serving and the Interactive Robotics.
In this series of design and build sessions, we’ll learn basic robotics, principals of mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics and distribution, and cocktail robotics design principals and history.
All levels welcome, this is a beginners course and there will be something for everyone. The class costs largely go to the build of the bot and getting it over to Vienna. All are welcome to attend Roboexotica with Ryan and friends.
Only the first session is scheduled for now, all other sessions will be decided by the team.
